900 S Reconstruction, 9 Line Trail & Streetscape Improvements

Salt Lake City, UT

Multi-use trail and beautification stretching 18 city blocks.

TCC was chosen by Salt Lake City as a sub-consultant to HW Lochner, Inc to perform civil engineering and land survey services.  The innovative street improvements throughout Salt Lake City’s 900 South corridor, which stretches 18 blocks (3 miles) from 900 West to Lincoln Street, is not merely an attempt at beautification but also a step toward urban renewal.

Modern segregated and protected bike lanes, mid-block crossings, creative crosswalk bulb-outs for pedestrian safety, and visually appealing planted medians are some of the notable characteristics of the 900 South corridor project. The cityscape is further improved by the placement of lush street trees and contemporary street furniture. Urban planning and design is illustrated by this project, which emphasizes a bike and pedestrian-friendly environment and adds a multi-use route.

This project is considered a crucial driver for Salt Lake City’s revitalization, demonstrating our dedication to urban growth and community benefit. The last landscaping touches are scheduled to be added in spring 2024, after construction was finished in late 2023. This large statement piece for the corridor demonstrates our commitment to building lively, sustainable urban environments.
