The Green Loop

The Green Loop project aims to revolutionize urban connectivity and sustainability through a transformation of downtown Salt Lake City streets into an urban park. Beginning with 200 East, four major interconnected roadways will ultimately be reconfigured to include space for people and trees, while still accommodating the many other needs of access and traffic around downtown. The Green Loop provides the opportunity to increase the forest canopy, reducing summer temperatures and improving air and water quality, while adding more green where the city needs it most. TCC is performing civil design services for this massive project in collaboration with Wenk & Associates.
